Party Time!!

After much debate, I decided to jump into the ultimate blog party ...

Ultimate Blog Party

I have joined the party a bit late, but well, better late than never!

So welcome to my blog! I am Brandie, wife to one very great guy and mommy to 3 darling children.

I also happen to homeschool the children, sometimes it keeps me pretty busy, but other times we take breaks from school and just play (although often times I find my kids learn more during those breaks than sitting at the table doing "work").

Pull up a chair and have a seat. We just moved, so pardon the mess. And as you can tell, my living room has no furniture in it yet. That's okay. I like to sit at the breakfast bar myself - my computer is there, I can watch the tv, and enjoy a nice can of coca-cola (my favorite drink).

Since this is a party, I made bought a nice cheesecake to share. As you can tell, I have already sampled it - well, I had to make sure it was okay for comapny - and it tastes wonderful.

More about me ...
I enjoy reading and knitting.

I also like to sew, quilt, scrapbook, well, I'm not sure there's a craft out there I don't enjoy. As well, I love singing and often sing around the house ... these days you'd hear me singing this:

I love having this blog. I love having a place to come and write and talk about whatever I want to. I love having a place to go to where I can just write, and "talk", and ramble. And even more than writing in my blog, I LOVE reading other blogs. There are so many great blogs out there - ones that make me laugh, cry, think, etc, etc.

Welcome to my blog. Feel free to drop a note to me in my comments or via e-mail at Brandie185 at gmail dot come. And come back again soon!

It's never to late to join a party. I came by for a visit. I liked your blog. I too enjoy scrap booking (I think it's a craft) and I like to blog...it's so much fun.

Seeing "Wicked" would be a wonderful thing to do. I have come close to buying the book so many times...just waiting for the price to go down.

I find it interesting that both you and I came up with a purple hammer...what does that say about the way OUR minds work?! Haha! Anyway, I've come by many times so how about if I hang out and help you with your "party"? I'll keep the kids occupied while you slice up all that cheesecake you made...errr...bought. I'm linking you to my site, too, Brandie...I meant to do it the other day and got hung-up on my "time issue" as usual...sheeeeeesh! Hope you're enjoying your week! ((HUG))

hello brandie
lovely to *meet* you...
yes, home ed'ing is such a wonderful journey.. i have learned l-o-t-s about myself, and my kids.
and i think it's good for our kiddos to see that we still have a *life*... doing stuff that makes our hearts sing.. cos it can get rather intense with kid-company all day every day.
you go girl !!!!!

I LOVE musicals! I went around singing all the songs from Rogers and Hammerstein's version of Cinderella with Brandy for WEEKS after my kids and I saw it! My children and I have been in a couple of musicals at the community theater where we just lived. I love theater and music!
We just moved into our house at the end of September - but I think we're just about settled. I hope you are able to settle in soon too.

HI! Thanks for stopping by earlier. I'm excited to see you homeschool. I'm seriously considering that option for our two kiddos when we're ready for it (of course, I started sort of already because school starts before they're five, right?) :-) Cheesy, I know, but I really am looking forward to knowing more about it.

Glad to meet you! Congrats on the move and your house looks more together than ours does and we moved four months ago. ;-)

Thanks SO much for stopping by my blog! Yes - that is Longaberger pottery you saw, but I have a confession to make. I am horribly broke myself, but I have a verynice g-ma who keeps me well-stocked. My aunt is a regional supervisor for Longaberger out of Wichita, Ks. I've been collecting the pottery pieces since I was a teenager for to use when I got married. They are my special occasion dishes :-)

Stop by again! You are a knitter, eh? You'll definitely want to keep tabs as I will be having a giveaway geared to knitters :-)

Stopping by to say hi for the party! Thanks for visiting our blog and leaving a comment! I'm quite impressed that you have been going to every single blog and leaving comments on most of them! I was originally going to do that but when I saw 900+ blogs on the list, I decided not to. :-) I hope you've been able to find a lot of great blogs for future reading!

Is that a Sara Lee cheesecake? I'd love some!

Thanks for stopping by my party. I saw your post about visiting over 400 blogs on the list. That is some feat! I'm still randomly working my way around.

Thanks for stopping by my party! Good luck getting to every one. I started to but man, I just couldn't do it. :)

Great blog!

Dedee said...

Wow, Are you going to be able to make it to my comment. Thanks for stopping by my blog. I enjoyed the earlier blog about TV. I find that the less TV my children see, the better behaved they are. I totally understood when you said you feel bad about not letting them watch kids tv. You would think that we could let our kids watch tv, but I've noticed that kids tv isn't really kid tv--most of the time. It's really adult tv in a kid-friendly package. Anyway, glad your children have adjusted. They sound like awesome kids!

Hello there! Thanks for visiting my blog--it's nice to meet another homeschooler. In some places they're few and far between! Blessings to you and your family!

Returning your visit that originated with the party. And wanted to comment on your comment about spring (that's legal, right?) -- and YES, spring came this weekend in my neck of the woods. Our high today is close to 60, which is causing some serious damage to the huge drifts in our backyard. Thank you Lord for spring! No one appreciates it as much as those with long or harsh winters.
